I recently ordered an ECM for the Queen from Bill Pierre Ford, and I’m trying to get a proper response from them, Harris Ford, etc. It seems they are all insistent on not responding when I want to replace the ECM and get anther electronic issue addressed.
By God, I wish Chevy of Everett’s network included a Ford dealership that wouldn’t screw with you.
Ifanyone knows a good responsive Ford Dealership and some names in the Puget Sound area, let me know asap, please.

Or suggest a shop that will actually reprogram my ECM. That works too. I'm getting sick of the dealership shenanigans.

Stay away from Bill Pier re Ford. All I can say. Worst group I’ve dealt with.
I know a good Chevy dealership, but that won’t help much....

My experience was with the sales department. After going to over 20 dealerships, the two in the Pierre Auto Group were infinitely worse than any other place. They're the stereotypical slimy salespeople you wouldn't piss on if they were on fire. Even thinking about those interactions make my blood pressure rise

The issue is that getting a used ECM reprogrammed is a bitch and a half because dealerships won’t do it. They’ll only do new or certified replacements.
I’m really losing patience.

The same reason we refused to install used ECMs, or ECMs “remanufactured” by someone else. THEY’RE JUNK PARTS AT BEST. They throw them on a test bench for five seconds, clear the NV and VIN, and call it “reman.” Used parts, who fucking KNOWS what’s broken in there, much less how many flashes it’s had. Typical ECM is good for a maximum of four full capacity writes. Never saw one that didn’t start hitting CRC fails at three. That assumes it hasn’t write-locked itself already.
Don’t fucking use junk ECMs and expect them to work, and don’t expect any respectable shop to install junk ECMs.

Lost my APIM the day after Christmas. Called Maxwell Ford
near me. They said wait. 3 weeks later I call them again. After saying they
had no record of my call
, they said
“Your on the list”. A week later, I called another dealer and they said “sure bring it in”. Done. I still haven’t heard back from Maxwell.

Maybe look for a local modular Mustang tuning shop? If they can program/tune ECUs for performance , then maybe they can do something for your Crown Vic.
